Going pink for charity

NEWBRIDGE RFC FIRST XV are to don a pink strip for their upcoming Hosie Cup match against Portarlington for charity.
The special jerseys are being worn in aid of Breast Cancer Awareness and will be auctioned off to the highest bidders from the players and supporters in the clubhouse after the match.
Pink is the colour associated with the branding for Breast Cancer Awareness and Newbridge RFC’s head coach David Mahon with the support of Kukri came up with the idea to promote Breast Cancer Awareness.
All proceeds from the evening will be donated to the Marie Keating Foundation. Club members and supporters of Newbridge RFC will also be selling various merchandise for Breast Cancer Awareness throughout the evening.
The match at Rosetown kicks off at 6pm with the second XV playing Portarlington in the Lalor Cup at 4.30pm.
The game is followed by a complimentary champagne cocktail reception, finger food by ‘Thai Trading’ and girls’ goodie bags.
On stage providing music will the VFI Stars of Bars finalist The Whisht followed by a DJ.
Tickets cost €10 each (available from David Mahon 086 27 02 015) and are also available on the day.
