Armed raid

Gardai are investigating a hold up in a shop in Leixlip, which took place yesterday morning.

It is believed shots were fired during the incident. The armed robbery took place on a cash in transit van in Leixlip at Supervalu in Rainforest.

“Two men took an undisclosed sum of money” during the incident.

Gardai have launched an investigation into the raid.

Manager of SuperValu, Brian Faughey remarked it was an “unfortunately incident” but declined to comment any further. This is the first time such an incident has taken place on the shop.
