Arrests have been made following a series of assaults in Naas at the weekend.
Gardai investigating the incident say one man has been arrested with more people likely to be charged this week.
The investigation was mounted after gardaí were called to Abrakabra in Naas on Saturday evening to attend to the scene of a flurry of violent assaults.
“It was assaults between Russian and Polish natives. There was a lot of drink taken and it was very rough at the time,” Sergeant Graham Kavanagh of Naas Garda Station told the Kildare Post.
It is believed one man who was caught up in the assault which took place during the busy dinner period at 7pm on Saturday evening was ‘knocked out cold.’ And while the violent outburst is reported to have last for just minutes, medical attention was required.
The ambulance service were called to the scene and at least one man was treated in Naas General Hospital following the assault.
Gardai described the incident as ‘drink fuelled’ and say that although there was no lasting damage caused to the fast food restaurant they are taking the matter very seriously.
It is understood that there were no weapons involved in the incident and gardaí say they are following definite lines of enquires.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information on the assaults is asked to contact Naas Garda Station on 045 897 333.
