Speed ramps needed

Deputy Aine Brady has suggested that Kildare Co Co consider the installation of speed ramps close to the entrance of Castle Dawson, on the Rathcoffey Road, Maynooth given the speed of Vehicles on this road.
“Over the last number of years, I have highlighted the speed on the Rathcoffey and the need for measures to improve safety. New speed limits were introduced. There has been increased Garda presence and I understand from the Gardai that further speed checks will be carried out in the coming weeks,” stated Deputy Brady.
‘I have now asked Kildare County Council to consider the installation of speed tables or a ramp on this road to put a physical reminder to drivers to reduce speed.” concluded Deputy Brady.
